Dedications and Gratitude

I'll introduce myself in a moment, but I'd like to begin by thanking the person who is responsible for the name of this blog.

Thank you for writing the definition of feminist at urbandictionary.com that inspired me to begin this blog.

Feminist:
A self-worshipping group of womEn (not womYn) who claim that they want equal rights, and then later on change their minds when they realize that it means that they will no longer be catered to and be given special consideration just because of their gender. They say they want equal treatment but they don't because if they did, they wouldn't complain about being held to the same standards as men are.

Feminist: Hi! My name is Betty Bitchalot and I'm a feminist! I want you to compliment me at all times for what a great job I do at everything, give me less labor intensive work to do than you but get paid the same or even more, give me every sort of special consideration in the book, and at the same time I want you to feel sorry for me because I'm such a victim! I know deep down though that I'm not really all that helpless, though, becuase all I have to do is accuse someone of sexual harrasment and they will be fired. But please don't let that stop you from thinking that I'm worthy of your constant praise and attention.

On that note I'll introduce myself. I'm Miss Lu. I'm a 22 year old feminist. I'll let you decide for yourselves if I'm a self-centered, self-serving douche bag. I probably am a bitch, but since I'm an arrogant feminist, I'm ok with that. If being comfortable with my sexuality makes me a whore/slut/skank, my dear D-shiznit, you've got me there too. If having significant relationships with women makes me a dyke, well fuck you've got me pegged.

I'm a raging, unapologetic Democrat. The debates in New Hampshire were my own personal Super Bowl. I will probably use this blog to rant about Republicans and Democrats alike (mainly Republicans).

My hope for this blog is that it will become a place for discussion/debate/bitching/ranting... really whatever is necessary. I have been inspired by bloggers like Bitch PhD that have made me laugh, made me smarter, and pissed me off. I talk a lot about religion, global politics, education, really whatever is happening in the world that catches my eye. Being PC has never really been my thing, and I'll probably use language that makes someone uncomfortable. Like Bitch PhD, I'll be writing anonymously. It would be unfair to honestly talk about myself or my personal life any other way. Any names I use in reference to my "real" life, will not be real.

Comments are awesome. Don't be a dick. I'll just erase it. Lively debate and opinions other than my own are encouraged.
